Saad Patel among Scholarship Winners
Saad Patel, of Riverside, is one of 21 southland Asian Pacific American students to receive a $2,000 college scholarship from the Asian Pacific American Students Increasing Achievement program of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California (RMHCSC – www.RMHCSC.org).
A student at John W. North High School, Saad was selected for his commitment to academics, leadership, and community involvement from a field of more than 4,000 applicants who reside in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties.
On Saturday, June 5, at noon, Saad joined other scholarship recipients at the Recognition Luncheon with David Ono, co-anchor for ABC7 Eyewitness News at 4pm and 6pm, as MC the event took place at the Pacific Palms Hotel & Conference Center in Industry Hills.
