Students Observe Kashmir Black Day at UCLA
Pakistani-American students observe Kashmir Black Day at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA)
Pakistan Students Association (PSA), University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Kashmiris and Pakistani Americans organized an event at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Westwood Campus to commemorate October 27 as “Kashmir Black Day”, the day when Indian security forces occupied Kashmir in 1947.
On display were posters and videos highlighting atrocities by the Indian Forces. The students also signed a petition against the continued human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir. To highlight the importance of October 27 as Black Day in the history of Kashmir, a flyer was also distributed amongst the students by the PSA.
