AMU to Celebrate Founder’s Day on Oct 30 in Bay Area
The Alumni of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), one of the oldest and famous seats of learning in Asia, will celebrate Founder’s Day on October 30th, which is the 193rd birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.
Around this time of the year, hundreds of thousands of students, alumni, and well wishers of Aligarh Muslim University around the world, will be celebrating the founder’s day popularly known as ‘Sir Syed Day’. The AMU alumni in California is organizing the 12th Annual International Mushaira, along with dinner, on October 30th at the India Community Center in Milpitas. Featured guest poets from the Indian sub-continent include Nida Fazli ( India), Tariq Subzwari ( Pakistan), Naseem Nikhat ( India), Rais Ansari ( India), Asar Bahraichi ( India), Khalid Irfan ( New York), and selected poets of California. The Chief Guest and key note speaker will be Michael Wolfe, President and Executive Producer of Unity Productions Foundation.
