Pakistani Designers Exhibition and Fashion Show
In an effort to promote Pakistani fashions and introduce new Pakistani designers to the Southern California community, Amina Ali, organized an exhibition and Fashion Show at Hyatt Hotel in Irvine, California. Dr.Meher Tabatabai, a physician and philanthropist, inaugurated the event. She said she was delighted to see so many women enjoying themselves and in turn promoting Pakistani cottage industry.
Huma Adnan, FNK Asia and Amrah Khan were the celebrity designers whereas locally boutiques like Bina Fashions, Chique Desgins, and Princess Collections from Houston also participated at the event. Jewelry designs from SNS Designs and Zarposh Polki Collection provided the accessories needed to complete any outfit.
"We need to have more events like this. They give us a chance to meet and greet friends, bring our girls and enjoy some fun shopping," said one shopper.
A parade of beautiful girls modeled on the ramp to create excitement and add the glamour. Amina Ali, who said the fashion show was the first of many she plans to organize. She said, "I was in Pakistan recently and many designers like Amrah's showed great interest in promoting Pakistani designs.” She remarked, “I am doing this to promote the industry and to help improve the image of Pakistan."
