Amir Khan at Los Angeles Consulate

Los Angeles, CA: The Consul General of Pakistan Mrs. Riffat Masood hosted a reception in honor of Mr. Amir Iqbal Khan, the “FIRST IBF UNIFIED WORLD LIGHT-WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION OF PAKISTANI DESCENT” and his family members at the Consulate on 25 July 2011. Some members of the community and Consulate staff were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, the Consul General lauded the efforts and achievements of Amir Khan and said that Pakistanis all over the world were proud of him. She encouraged him to rise further in the field of boxing and said that he had made Pakistan proud and the entire nation was praying for his success.

Mr. Amir Khan thanked the Consul General for arranging the reception and to the delight of all those present also threw a few punches.

A Certificate of Achievement was also presented to Mr. Amir Khan by the Consul General on behalf of the Consulate as well as the Pakistani-American community.
