CG Presents Community’s Donations to Japanese Consul General

The Consul General of Pakistan, Mrs Riffat Masood, paid a visit to the Consul General of Japan, L Ihara on Friday July 8, 2011 and presented to him donations collected by members of the Pakistan-American community in Los Angeles as a gesture of solidarity with the people of Japan who had suffered as a result of the recent devastating earthquake and tsunami.

Consul General Ihara, while accepting the donations, expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the Pakistan-American community in Los Angeles for remembering their Japanese friends and brethren in their hour of need. He informed the Consul General of Pakistan that the donations would be given to the Japanese Red Cross Society which would ensure that the money was spent in the rehabilitation of those affected by the natural disaster.
