TIMES NOW, India’s most watched general English news channel devoted to providing pure and relevant news to its viewers around the clock; and zoOm – India’s 100 % Bollywood channel which brings viewers closer to the biggest stars of the Indian film industry can now be watched in the United States of America. At the launch event held recently in New York, Channel executives introduced the channel to a gathering of select media and advertising firms. Times Television network flew in award winning Bollywood Stars – Mr.Anil Kapoor and Ms.Vidya Balan to grace the event.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Vineet Jain, Chairman Times Television Network said, “Our endeavor, as Times Television Network, is to build our brands internationally and bring India closer to the world. The launch of our channels TIMES NOW and zoOm on the biggest platform for the Indian Diaspora - the DISH Network, will allow South Asian community residing in the US to be informed on the latest Indian news and current affairs besides being entertained with all that’s happening in Bollywood”.
Addressing the press conference, Mr. Sunil Lulla, MD & CEO of Times Television Network highlighted the tremendous equity enjoyed by TIMES NOW and zoOm, their leadership positions and the continued efforts of Times Television Network to reach out to audiences across the world. He was excited that now more Indians and India-focused audiences in the US would be able enjoy the unique content that these channels provide to their viewers.
TIMES NOW and zoOm will be available in the US on the leading DTH platform, DISH Network. They are available on DISH’s Hindi Mega Pack with EPG numbers as: TIMES NOW Channel Number 652, zoOm’s channel number 649. In addition, TIMES NOW is also available on the DISH’s News Pack. Both channels will also be available on the Dish IPTV platform. The DISH Hindi Mega Pack is priced at $49.99 per month and includes 19 other channels.
