Three Pakistani Americans Indicted for Supporting Taliban in Pakistan
Washington DC : May 14, 2011: PAKPAC is concerned and troubled by the recent arrest of three Pakistani Americans in Florida and Los Angeles on charges for providing material support to the Taliban, says a PAKPAC statement. It adds:
PAKPAC condemns actions that give any type of support to terrorist organizations. The Taliban in Pakistan (also known as Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan) are responsible for numerous terrorist attacks, including one on May 13th which targeted the Pakistani Frontier Corp. The suicide attack resulted in over 80 deaths of young cadets. The Taliban in Pakistan seek nothing but death and destruction, and are an enemy of the Government and People of Pakistan.
Furthermore, PAKPAC agrees with the comments of Special Agent in charge of the Miami Field office when he stated, "The Muslim and Arab-American members of our community should never be judged by the illegal activities of a few." As always, PAKPAC urges all citizens to contact local authorities when they observe suspicious behavior.
