Eid Party Turns into a Political Party

An Eid-ul-Adha party was hosted by Dr. Talat Khan on Nov. 26th at her residence. About 200 people attended the party which featured a sumptuous Qurbani home-cooked food. Dennis Michael, Mayor of Rancho Cucamonga, was also present along with candidates running for various offices. Dr. Khan motivated the guests to devote their energies to help in the upcoming elections. She herself is a Delegate and an Executive Board member of the California Democratic Party. Her husband, Amin Khan, is also a Delegate of California Democratic Party. Dr Khan urged the guests to fully participate in voter registration, campaigns and support the candidates running for various offices so they can have their voice heard, and to exercise their right to vote and work for the betterment of the country. She introduced Mayor Dennis Michael, who has become very familiar with members of the community. Renea Wickman, who is running for a seat in Congress from Redlands and the Inland Empire, was introduced on the occasion. Pictures by Anwar Khawaja
