PTI-California Hosts Evening with Fauzia Kasuri
Los Angeles, CA: The PTI-California Chapter hosted an evening with Ms Fauzia Kasuri, founding member and president of PTI Women Wing, at the Rancho Senior Center, Irvine, on June 15. Attended by 150+ PTI supporters and PTI members the event was organized to develop political awareness among Pakistani Americans and to educate them about the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ideology, activities, and to raise funds for the ongoing PTI membership drive in Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Ms Fauzia Kasuri highlighted the PTI ideology which aims at bringing a positive change in Pakistan through a peaceful political struggle. She informed the gathering about the sacrifices and strivings of Imran Khan, Chairman and founder of Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Ms Kasuri passionately expressed her personal experiences of PTI public meeting and groundwork efforts by PTI Women Wing and ISF student volunteers who have worked tirelessly in simmering heat and adverse conditions to spread the PTI message. She requested the guests to sign up for the paid membership of PTI to help support its cause and mentioned that PTI has no source of funding besides the $10 per month donation from its members to fund the party’s political activities. The audience overwhelmingly responded to her donation request and Ms Kasuri duly thanked the volunteers and guests for their generous contributions.
The gathering was also addressed by PTI-California lead Usman Ali, PTI-Orange County lead Ishtiaq Shah, Women Wing lead Sadaf Agha, and PTI-CA team members Mehboob Aslam, Adnan Akram, Sherry Khan, Asher Zulfiqar, Sunya Ahmed (qirat) and PTI leader Abdul Qayyum Kundi from Fresno, CA. An auction of signed PTI merchandise was held to raise funds. The guests enthusiastically supported PTI-CA team efforts and donated generously for the cause.
At the end, PTI-California team members expressed their heartiest gratitude for the generous help and support of party members and guests. The event was attended by prominent Pakistanis including Dr and Mrs Razaq Chaudhry, Dr Salman Naqvi, Mr and Mrs Shiraz Saleh, Dr and Mrs Asim, Mr and Mrs Nasir Cheema, Ausaf and Awab Ali, Ghulam Abbas, Ghulam Rabbani, Masood Syed, Faisal Khan, Nadeem sb, Mr and Mrs Tasneem Rehmani, Mrs Adeel Ahmed, Asher Zulfiqar, Pervaiz Ahmed and others.
