Petition for Overseas Pakistanis’ Right to Contest Elections

An e-mail message received from prominent community member Wasim Zaidi states: Barrister Farogh Nasim is filing a petition on behalf of Pakistani-Overseas organizations, in the Supreme Court of Pakistan early next week in order to give the right to Overseas Pakistanis to contest elections in Pakistan. Overwhelming support has been extended by Overseas Pakistanis to become supporters of this petition by sending a letter of authority to Barrister Farogh Nasim so that all these organizations could become a party to the constitutional petition in Pakistan. Organizations becoming party to this petition will only have to submit a statement (we will prepare and forward it to them later in few days) which their top official can sign and have it notarized from the embassy or consulate of Pakistan near them.
