Sister Amina Jakvani Passes away

Sister Amina Jakvani, a well-respected and senior member of the Islamic Center of San Gabrial Valley, California, passed away last week. Inna Lillahe wa inna ilahe rajeoon. Funeral prayers for Sister Amina Jakvani were offered right after the Jumm’ah prayers at the Islamic Center of San Gabriel Valley located at Rowland Heights, California. She was laid to rest in the La Verne Cemetery.

Sister Amina Jakvani actively participated in women’s activities providing invaluable services to the Islamic Center during its infancy. She was always grateful to Almighty Allah and at the same time very pleased with the fact that both her young children and also her grandchildren had attended and benefited from the Weekend Islamic School of the Islamic Center. In fact, one of her sons,

Ashraf Jakvani, has the unique distinction and honorof serving as the first President of the Youth Group of the Islamic Center; he has since been a very active member and is currently serving as the Secretary of the Islamic Center of San Gabriel Valley doing a phenomenal job for the cause of Almighty Allah. May Allah bless Sister Amina Jakvani’s entire family.

I am saddened by this great loss and offer my deepest sympathies and condolences to the entire Jakvani family. I share their sorrow and distress in this hour of grief. May Almighty Allah give each and every member of the Jakvani family fortitude and courage to bear this irreparable loss. (Ameen)
