Al-Shifa Mobile Clinic Inaugurated
The mobile clinic of the Al-Shifa Medical and Dental Clinic was formally launched at the Clinic’s premises recently. Consul General Riffat Masood was the chief guest on the occasion. The Clinic offers free medical treatment to the masses belonging to all ethnic groups and faiths and the mobile clinic will give a boost to its multifarious services.
Situated in an impoverished neighborhood in the city of San Bernardino, California, Al-Shifa is a shining example of how the teachings of Islam – compassion towards the sick and selfless service to those in need - are molded into everyday practice.
Housed in a 5,000 square feet building, the clinic provides a haven to those who travel from far and near looking for relief and cure. The free service is provided by a team of dedicated Muslim physicians and volunteers. The 19 examination rooms of Al-Shifa clinic hum with activity from Wednesdays through Saturdays, the days when this clinic is open.
