Abubakar Mithawala Passes away

 

I am really saddened and heartbroken to convey to the community the sad news of the passing away of our respected and very dear friend, Abubakar Mithawala, on November 3.Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’oon.

Abubakar Mithawala was a very decent human being, a great and sincere family friend since the late sixties when the Pakistani community in Los Angeles was small and could be counted on finger tips. He was a very concerned Pakistani American and always involved in religious activities benefiting the local Muslim community. His death is a great loss not only to his family but also to the Pakistani community of Southern California. May Allah rest his departed soul in eternal peace in janat al-firdous and give his loving wife, Laila and two beautiful twin daughters and their family members, the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Ameen!

Funeral prayers of Br. Abubakar Mithawala were held on Sunday, the 4th of November, 2012 after Dhuhr prayers at The Islamic Society of Orange County, Garden Grove. He was buried in the Westminster Memorial Cemetery. - Rafique Ahmed
