COPAA and Pakistani-American Community Condemn Attack on US Consulate
Los Angeles, CA: The Council of Pakistani American Affairs (COPAA) and members of the Pakistani-American community have condemned the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi “in the strongest possible terms”, according to a COPAA press release. The release stated:
The attack on the US Consulate can only be described as a cowardly act of senseless violence. We offer sincere condolences to the family and friends of the US Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and the three US personnel who were killed in the attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
We stand with the men and women in our diplomatic missions abroad and pray for their safety. The cowards who perpetrated this attack and who call themselves Muslims are far from the teachings of the Prophet Mohammed and Islam. This barbaric action against innocent civilians is against all Islamic teachings. The Muslim world is equally horrified by this senseless act of violence. We urge the Libyan government to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
God bless America and all those who serve our great nation. Ameen.
