PACC Organizes Dream America Expo 2013

The Pakistan American Chamber of Commerce (PACC) organized a Business Dream America Expo 2013 on March 9th at the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel in Buena Park. This was the first Expo of its kind, arranged by PACC. It was an all-day event with participation by many small businesses, vendors, services providers and development organizations.

The Expo was opened by Mr Eazaz A. Dar, Head of Trade Division at the Consulate General of Pakistan at 11 am. The Board Members of PACC were introduced and acknowledged for their effort to promote Pakistani community based trade and businesses. The inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries, community leaders from Pakistani and other communities, individuals representing various organizations, and members of the media. The Expo was attended by a significant number of people from Pakistani and many other communities.

In the evening, a Dinner and Awards Gala was put together by PACC. The Consul General of Pakistan Mr Tasawar Khan was the Chief Guest at this event. Members of the community who have notably excelled in their professions and businesses were awarded and recognized for their contribution. The award recipients included Dr. Sanaullah Khan, Dr. Shoaib Patel, Mr. Zubair Rao, Mrs. Nighat Khan and Dr Abdul Razzak Chaudhry.

A musical performance by Hyder Ali, Laiba Ali and Imran concluded a very lively and eventful day. Key organizers of the Expo and Award Gala, Mr Waqar Khan, Mr Arif Mansuri, Mrs Fatima Khan, Mr Feroz Qasim, Mr Ali Sajjad and Mr Jamal Khawaja did a commendable job in organizing both the events. The Business Mixer and Awards Gala was a very positive step in the promotion and integration of the Pakistani community and businesses.
