Town of Framingham & MMA to Host Pakistani Officials

Framingham, MA: The Town of Framingham has partnered with the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) and the Institute for Training and Development (ITD) to host a group of Pakistani Government officials.

The United States-Pakistan Professional Partnership Program for Public Administration is funded by a grant from the United States Department of State. This project gives the opportunity for a select number of American counterpart municipalities in the states of Massachusetts, New York and Washington, DC to host a group of Pakistani government officials for a two-week period. The project goal for the Pakistani participants is to develop new professional skills, relationships and gain valuable insight into the infrastructure of Town government. The Town of Framingham appreciates the opportunity to be one of the communities selected to host and partake in this partnership program. Our Pakistani visitors will be on site in the Town of Framingham from April 29 through May 9.

“We are excited about this opportunity to show the Pakistani government managers how town government is organized and to share some actionable ideas and practices that they could implement in Pakistan,” stated Town Manager Robert Halpin.

The visit was coordinated by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Boston.
