Samin Faruqi Grieved
Ms Saeeda Faruqi, mother of Samin Faruqui, President of United for Pakistan Independence and Pakistan Club, and mother-in-law of Rubina Faruqi, prominent community member, passed away in Culver City on Saturday, May 25. Inna Lillahe Wa Inna Ilehe Rajeoon.
She was laid to rest in the Westminster Memorial Park on Sunday. Qul for the departed soul were held at the Islamic Society of Orange County, Garden Grove, CA on Monday.
The late Saeeda Faruqi had been of late suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. She was 83. She is survived by two sons – Samin and Amin Faruqi- and four daughters – Sara Faruqi, Nighat Faruqi, Sabiha Badr and Shaista Faruqi.
May her soul rest in peace and Allah grant the bereaved family courage and fortitude to bear the loss. Ameen.
