IECRC Celebrates Shab-e-Bar'at

Fremont, CA: The Islamic Educational and Cultural Research Center Fremont celebrated Shab-e-Bar'at (Nisf Sha'baan) with great fervor and enthusiasm at its Zikr center on Friday, June 12. IECRC is a non-profit, non-political, grassroots, community-based organization that was founded in 2002. It enhances spiritual insight through education, research and counseling based on centuries-old Islamic traditional values of the Awliyah (Friends of Allah-Saints) of love, tolerance, peace and harmony.
This special program started with a recitation from the Holy Qura'n and Qaseeda Burda Sharif by Abur-rahman Qadri. Sister Saadia Naveed, broher Zafar Khan presented beautiful Naa't-e-Rasool (SAWS).
Later, the center director Mr.Ayyaz Yousaf Qadri addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Laylatul Bar'at or Nisf Sha'baan which is known as the night of records, night of deliverance and night of salvation.
A young hafez-e-Qura'n Salman (who recently completed memorization) and his family served Iftar to the attendees.
The center director led the Maghrib and Isha salats. The audience participated in Durood O salam and duas. Later, dinner was served to the invitees.
