Pakistan Club Los Angeles Hosts Annual Haleem Party
Los Angeles, CA: The Pakistan Club Los Angeles (formerly called Karachi Club) hosted its Annual Haleem party at the spacious Garden Grove Park on May 25.
The Park has become a familiar venue for the luncheon party where community members converge every year to enjoy tasteful haleem. Most of them look forward to attending the Pakistan Club luncheon unfailingly every year. On May 25th the Park once again became a favorite GPS entry point for the motoring public as they headed for Garden Grove. The invitees aggregated well over 1200 and belonged to all walks of life in the Pakistani community. The event was described as a "combined offering by MQMUSA (Los Angeles Chapter) and Pakistan Club" by the organizers.
The proceedings began with an announcement by former member Central Organizing Committee Adnan Naqvi who was followed by LA In-charge Shahzad Syed. President Samin Faruqi and Wasim Zaidi greeted the guests along with members of their committed and energetic team comprising Kamal Zafar, Abdul Lateef, Muhammad Akif, Fahim Sethi, Jamal Ahmed, Kashif Qureshi, Nasir Rao, Syed Wajid, Syed Nabeel, Fawwad and Aurangzeb.
Outlining the vision of the organization, he urged all Pakistanis to join hands with the Club in serving the community. He sought suggestions from the audience to extend the community outreach program of the Club. Several prominent members of the community graced the occasion.
The boys from Karachi Club Los Angeles set up a booth where visitors stopped to obtain information about the league matches in which KCC is taking part on a regular basis.
At the Pakistan Club Los Angeles luncheon party delicious haleem is served in the best Pakistani traditions to the delight of the community members every year. It remains one of the most enjoyable community get-togethers.
