Shura Council Condemns Kuwait City and All Acts of Violence
Garden Grove : The Shura Council records its deepest sorrow over the killing of innocent worshippers at the Imam Sadiq Mosque in Kuwait City and pray for them, their surviving families and also for those who are injured.
" We condemn this attack as well as any and all acts of violence and barbarity directed specially against the worshipers in their places of worship. It is horrible to see such crimes committed in the peaceful and blessed month of Ramadan. The criminals seems to have no respect for the sacred place and sacred time," said Dr Muzammil Siddiqi, Chairman of the Islamic Shura Council.
"We also lament the horrific violence in Tunisia of innocent bystanders.
"The Shura Council reiterates its call, rooted in the Divine message and the Prophetic principle to always honor life ( Qur'an 5:32 ) and dignity of every child of Adam ( Qur'an 17:70 ).
"We call upon the political leaders and the religious scholars to realize their responsibility and honor the trust they are bestowed with by protecting the people of all faiths and traditions and at all times.
"We also call upon our Imams and Masajid leaders to urge the community to embrace the eternal and universal message of brotherhood and sisterhood, solidarity and fellowship across all persuasions and at all times," observed Dr Siddiqi.
