Vice President Joe Biden Meets Community Members
A group of Pakistani Americans recently met the Vice President of the United States Joe Biden at a small private meeting. The group included Dr Shoaib Patail, Asif Chattha, Arif Mansuri, Samin Faruqui and Shoukat Hussain.
The group discussed matters of interest to the Pakistani American community with the vice president and also urged him to visit Pakistan to promote better ties between the two countries. The vice president acknowledged the request and agreed to work on it.
The United States and Pakistan have enjoyed the best of relations in the past and the Vice President’s willingness to meet and consider the request from the members of the Pakistan American community is a fresh proof of the strong bonds between the two countries.
