Outstanding Hyderabadi Award for Azeem A. Quadeer

Chicago: Charminar Connection celebrated their 15th anniversary Jashn-e-Charminar Connection 2017 at Shalimar Banquets in Chicago on Saturday, September 9. The "Outstanding Hyderabadi" award was conferred on Azeem A. Quadeer, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of Asia Times US, recognizing his services and bringing communities together. Mr Pervaiz Baig is the founder of Charminar Connection. The award was given by US Congressman Hon. Raja Krishnamoorthy. Mr Hyder Syed conducted the award ceremony.
Born and raised in old city of Hyderabad, Azeem completed High School from St. Marks Boys Town, Jahanuma. He received a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from MJ College of Engineering and Technology in 1988. In 1994 he received a Master's Degree in Transportation Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and in 1999 got his Professional Engineering (PE) License in the State of Indiana. He currently holds PE license in Indiana, Illinois and Texas. He is also a licensed Real Estate agent in the State of Texas.
Journalism is his passion. He launched Asia Times in 2008. Because of his choice of articles and interesting material, the monthly magazine gained popularity. Asia Times is read worldwide.
Other persons receiving awards were Mirza Pervaiz Baig, Iftekhar Shareef, Dr Basheer Ahmed, Dr MT Ali Niazee and Raees Mirza Yawer.
