Record Attendance at Shura Council Banquet
The Board, Staff, and Volunteers of Shura Council wish to thank the community for their support in making our 23rd Annual Banquet successful, says a message. It adds:.
Many of you joined us to recognize the Giants of the Southern California Muslim Community, who paved the way for the leaders of today and tomorrow. We awarded the Muslim Community Ally Award to Judy and Steve Gilliland (LDS), Changemaker Award to Sh Taha Hassan (ICSD), and the Youth of the Year Award to ZainaSiyed.
Our banquet guests were treated to Amal Kassir's beautiful poetry, and Imam Azeez and DrYasirQahdi's powerful speeches, which electrified the room. Videos of our banquet will be on our YouTube page shortly. Until then, we invite you to browse through our photo album here.
