The Muslim community of Southern California is mourning the death of a senior and respected member of the community, Shamimuddin Ahmed Faridi who passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018. Inna lillahiwainnailayhiraji'oon
May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace in Jannah and give his entire family fortitude and courage to bear the loss. My heartfelt condolences and sincere prayers are with the entire family during this most difficult time in their life.

Popularly known as Shamim Bhai, Shamimuddin Ahmed Faridi was a decent and kind hearted person and will be sorely missed by the community.
Shamim Bhai is survived by his loving wife, sister AsifaFaridi and beloved son, Dr Omar Faridi and daughter-in-law, Najia. His three beautiful and loving grandchildren, Amber, Jennah and Mekyle were a great source of happiness in his golden years.
Funeral prayer for Shamim Bhai were held at the Islamic Center of San Gabriel Valley on Tuesday and he was buried in the La Verne Cemetery. May his soul rest in peace. (Ameen) – Rafique S. Ahmed
