COP Arranges Breakfast Meeting with Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry in Los Angeles
During his recent visit to Los Angeles, Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry met prominent members of the community at a breakfast meeting arranged by the Council of Pakistan at the residence of its President Imran Sharief and ItratSharief.
Consul General of Pakistan in Los Angeles Abdul JabbarMemon, Senator Josh Newman, LAPD Deputy Chief Horace Frank, Council member Ali Sajjad Taj, Omar Siddiqi who is running for Congress, Farah Khan who is running for council, prominent community members and representatives of Council of Pakistan, Pakistan Arts Council, HDF, and Urdu Writers Society were present on the occasion.
COP President Dr Imran Sharief welcomed the guests. Ambassador Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry shared his experience during his meeting with VP Pence and described it as a very positive meeting. He strongly felt that the long-term friendship between the USA and Pakistan will grow through dialogue. He urged the community to participate in grassroots politics and run for elected positions such as council, mayor, senate, congress.
Senator Josh Newman and LAPD Deputy Chief Horace Frank also spoke on the occasion. It was the consensus at the meeting that Consul General Abdul JabbarMemon has made significant administrative changes in the Consulate to improve its working and has duly won the appreciation of the community for his many well-meaning initiatives.
