American Muslim and Multifaith Women's Empowerment Council Hosts Raheel Raza
American Muslim and Multifaith Women's Empowerment Council hosted an inspiring Pakistani Canadian activist, Raheel Raza.
Raheel Raza is a Pakistani-Canadian journalist, author, public speaker, media consultant, anti-racism activist, and interfaith discussion leader. She lives in Toronto, Canada, and has led the movement to empower Muslim women in Canada.
Raheel Raza has worked with interfaith community and has led many initiatives to safeguard the rights of Muslim women in Canada. She has worked for decades to dispel misconceptions about Islam and also shared her journey in her recent memoir, Journeys, Spiritual Activist.
She was in Los Angeles to receive a highly acclaimed award from The Museum of Tolerance, Simon Wiesenthal Institute, for her bravery and courage to stand up against hate.
She met with AMWEC members and supporters and shared best practices on how to empower, engage and help women.
