Visiting Cornell University Students Meet COAS
Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar JavedBajwa on Saturday credited successes in the war against terrorism to the bravery and motivation of the Army’s junior leadership and their contributions to national progress.
Talking to a group of students from the United States’ Cornell University, Gen Bajwa emphasized that youth had “an important role to play in every field as they are the future leadership,” said a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The Cornell University students are currently visiting Pakistan. According to ISPR, they visited Lahore, Hunza Valley, Parliament and Islamabad during the visit. In the meeting with the COAS, the students shared experiences of their visit and said that Pakistan was a beautiful and peaceful country.
The army chief shared his thoughts about Pakistan and its journey to enduring peace. Gen Bajwa said that the youth had an important role to play in every field as they are the future leadership, the press release said.
Referring to the ‘vibrant’ youth of Pakistan, Gen Bajwa credited successes in the war against terror to the bravery and motivation of the junior leadership as well as their contributions to national progress on the whole, as part of the nation.
The students thanked the army chief and said that they are taking back home with them the first-hand reality of a peaceful and beautiful Pakistan.
