Christmas Cheers for the Needy
Mission Green Light, a Glenview based 501(c)(3) public charity, distributed $1,000 worth of McDonald's gift cards among the needy families on the streets of Chicago on the Eve of Christmas. This was a bold step on part of this small organization that has meager resources to operate with.
The nonprofit organization was created with $2 in 2002, by a resident of a nursing home. Mr Thomas Murphy, the President of Mission Green Light, thinks that it is commendable what this organization has achieved by creating many small waves of joy that have touched many, especially, the elderly.
