Sister Sajida Rauf KhanPasses away
The Muslim community of Southern California is mourning the death of a senior and highly respected member of the community, Sister Sajida Rauf Khan, who passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019.Inna lillahiwainnailayhiraji'oon
May Allah rest her departed soul in eternal peace in JannatulFirdaus and give her entire family fortitude and courage to bear this monumental loss. My heartfelt condolences and sincere prayers are with the family during this most difficult time in their life.
Sister Sajida was married to Dr Rauf Khan, a highly respected and well-known Educator and Professor in the Education Sector of Southern California for the last several decades. She was often commended for inculcating Islamic values in raising good and exemplary children like Dr Mansur Khan, Huma Qureshi, Shahla Rashid and Masood Khan. President Obama invited her son, Dr Mansur Khan, to the White House to recognize and honor him as the leading Physician to establish the UMMA Clinic to provide free medical services to the poor and needy people in Los Angeles, and that day was the happiest day in the life of Sister Sajida as a mother. She was also blessed with several grandchildren.
May Allah be pleased with her good deeds, forgive her shortcomings and bless her with JannatulFirdaus. Ameen.
Funeral prayers for Sister Sajida Rauf Khan were held at the Islamic Center of San Gabriel Valley in Rowland Heights, CA on October 23, 2019 and she was later laid to rest in the La Verne Cemetery.
May her soul rest in peace. Ameen.
