Pakistani-Americans Express Support for Al Mustafa Trust’s Healthcare Work
A gathering of Pakistani-Americans expressed their wholehearted support for the primary healthcare work that Al Mustafa Trust is providing to the underprivileged across Pakistan.
M. Rao Zubair, a community member, hosted the fund-raising event, attended by California-based Pakistani-American doctors, entrepreneurs, and members of the community.
Chairman of Al Mustafa Trust, Muhammad Mustafa Khan, who is in the United States for a series of events to introduce the work of the organization, apprised the gathering of the services provided through medical centers, dispensaries, and mobile vans.
The medical facilities provide services through state-of-the-art equipment with a team of dedicated volunteers and medical practitioners in remote areas as well as major medical centers. Currently, the Trust provides primary healthcare to one million people annually.
Khan, who is a retired general, appreciated the Pakistani-American community for their keen interest and expression of support for welfare work the Trust has been doing for the past two decades.
He said the Trust will be "adding more facilities and equipment to our existing network".
He also spoke about how the Trust is filling the missing links in Pakistan’s healthcare services, particularly in remote areas, where a timely diagnosis can save many lives.
Brigadier retd Muhammad Sarfraz, a member Council of Trustees, informed the gathering about the progress that Al Mustafa Trust has made over the years and highlighted the transparency and effectiveness of its working.
Syed Shahid Ahmed, Trustee of Al Mustafa Charitable Trust USA, said the Trust is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.
