First Joint Masjid Tennis Tournament Proves a Great Success
70 contestants representing different mosques from all over Southern California gathered at the El Dorado High School – Placentia on Sunday, Nov 17th, 2019 to participate in the First Joint Masjid Tennis Tournament.
It was organized by the Southern California Muslim Community Organization (SCMCO). The tournament was another mega event organized by SCMCO, which is an umbrella organization of Islamic Centers/Organizations/Schools in SoCal and aims to bring the Muslim community closer together through social activities.
At the outset, the Rules and Regulation Committee members Afif Demachkie, Adnan Naqvi and Aabid Siddiqui explained the rules of engagement to the participating players.
SCMCO President Dawar Naqvi thanked everyone for their contribution and support. He especially expressed his gratitude to ALLAH for making this program successful. He admired the hard work of his teammates. He thanked all volunteers and sponsors who played a role in the success of the event.
He said without their support and encouragement, the event couldn’t have been held so successfully.
