Shura Congratulates Imams for Becoming Certified Mediators
The Shura Council presented Marriage and Family Mediation certificates to four Imams in Southern California this past Saturday, September 28th. These Imams are: Sh. JameelBesada, Sh. Jibreel Speight, Imam Omar Rangoonwala and Sh. Suhail Mulla (not in picture).
The Imams have completed 40 hours of mediation training with Orange County Human Relations. We commend these Imams for taking the initiative to complete the accelerated course for the benefit of the community. We encourage community members who are going through the difficult process of divorce to reach out to one of these Imams for mediation to minimize its harmful effects on all family members.
