Obituary
Mrs Khatiza Hasham Rokerya passed away this past Saturday at the age of 102. Inna lillahi wa innailailayhi rajioon.
She was the mother of Hussain Rokerya and grandmother of Shezad Rokerya and Mehnaz Rokerya. She is survived by 7 children, 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
Janazah prayer was held at ISNA Mosque in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada on Monday, September 16, 2019 with burial at Meadowvale Cemetery in Mississauga. 650 friends and family members attended her janazah prayer.
She was born in Bombay, India. In Karachi, Pakistan she began working as a Qur’an teacher and taught 300 students a month within the community. Her children remember her as a pious person and dedicated mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals and achieve their best. She left a legacy behind through them and their families.
Please make Dua'a for her Maghfirah. May Allah (SWT) place her in Jannah in the company of our Prophet (SAW). May Allah (SWT) forgive all her shortcomings. May Allah (SWT) give Sabr Jameel (best of patience) to her family. Ameen.
