Huma Abedin’s Book ‘Both/And’ Launched

The inauguration of Huma Abedin’s memoirs ‘Both/And’ was held at an impressive ceremony in Artesia recently. Abedin served as Secretary to Hillary Clinton, The book-launching event was arranged by Dr Asif Mahmood and Jamal Khawaja and attended by leading writers and prominent members of the community.
After her introduction by Dr Asif Mahmood and Jamal Khawaja, Huma Abedin addressed the gathering and gave a brief speech about herself and her book. The audience received a complimentary copy of Abedin’s memoirs duly signed by her. The community members were visibly happy to meet the dashing and insightful writer.
Daughter of Indian and Pakistani parents, Abedin grew up in the United States and Saudi Arabia. She has traveled widely. This book grapples with family, legacy, faith, marriage and motherhood and the author’s work in the White House.
Abedin launched full steam into college internship in the office of the First Lady in 1996, never imagining that her work at the White House would blossom into a career in public service. She came into contact with diplomats, sovereigns, entrepreneurs, philanthropists and artists. She witnessed many crucial moments in twenty-first century America.
Abedin’s relationship with Hillary Clinton has been both as woman and Secretary and was very intimate. This book is also a heart-breaking chronicle of Abedin’s marriage with Anthony Weiner. What kind of emotions drew her to him? She believed in him, but he betrayed her. It is also a timeless story of a young woman with aspirations and ideals in a high-pressure job. She kept her sanity despite job pressure and emotional tragedy.
