It's Ramadan in Hollywood

I hope your Ramadan has been filled with faith, peace, and tranquility for you and your family. May all your prayers to the Almighty be answered with great blessings.
I am writing to you today with some exciting updates and to urge you to invest in our work this Ramadan.

Just this month, we were so excited to share the Ramadan spirit with our friends, colleagues, and community in the entertainment industry by placing a full-page ad in Variety Magazine, the industry’s leading trade publication. This is the first time readers of Variety were greeted with Ramadan Mubarak, by the “go-to” Muslim organization in Hollywood.

 

With every month that passes, the Hollywood Bureau is working hard to promote and elevate the voices and profiles of Muslim creatives to generate more equitable storytelling in television and film. We’re grateful to our partners who have supported and invested in our efforts to tell more authentic stories.

But that’s not all. The Hollywood Bureau has been working closely with major entertainment studios and production companies to develop a series of Screenwriting Labs designed to advance the careers of Muslim screenwriters. More Muslim screenwriters means more diverse stories and characters in the shows and movies that our families watch every day.

Our Hollywood Bureau is moving the needle on authentic portrayals and narratives of American Muslims. This Ramadan, we are asking supporters to amplify our efforts in Hollywood. Please consider making your zakat-eligible and tax-deductible donation today.
