For 30 years , we have honored people and projects in the entertainment industry who use their craft to create authentic portrayals of Muslims, promote social justice, and inspire action. |

Based in Queens, New York, Americanish tells the story of two Pakistani American sisters, Maryam and Sam Khan, and their newly-immigrated cousin Ameera, as they navigate the conflicting demands of romance, culture, work, and family. Americanish tackles political, Islamic, and cultural internal struggles many young Muslim women face. |

I'll Meet You There is a bold representation of the importance of interpretation in Islam and the destructive impact of surveillance on immigrant communities. The film tells the story of a Pakistani-American police officer and his teenage daughter the moment their lives change forever once his estranged father visits. |

Mira, Royal Detective is an animated mystery inspired by India’s rich and diverse culture. It tells the story of Mira, who embarks on a magical journey throughout the Kingdom of Jalpur, authentically illustrating Indian customs and traditions. |

The United States of Al relays the story of Awalmir "Al," an interpreter for the US Marines in Afghanistan, who escapes Taliban retribution leaving behind his life, family, and country. Now living in Ohio with his best friend Riley, a US combat Marine veteran, Al adjusts to a new culture while striving to ensure that he doesn’t leave his beliefs and traditions behind. |

The award-winning sitcom We Are Lady Parts follows Amina Hussein, a quirky PhD student conquering her stage fright with the all-female Muslim punk band “Lady Parts.” Together they find their voice and confront their obstacles head-on. |
