Sundance: Nida Manzoor Joins MPAC’s Muslim House

As we approach the start of the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, I’m so excited to let you know that Nida Manzoor , Director of Polite Society , has been added to the Muslim Cinematic Storytelling panel at MPAC’s Muslim House Party in Park City, Utah. This panel is in community with the The Islamic Scholarship Fund (ISF).
Nida’s film will premiere at the festival on Friday night. Nida is also the creator of Peacock's We Are Lady Parts , which received our 30th annual Media Award last year.
Director-Writer and ISF’s Film Programs Director, Iman Zawahry will moderate the panel, which includes Writer-Actor, Aizzah Fatima , Writer-Director, Imran J. Khan , Director-Cinematographer, Nausheen Dadabhoy , and Writer-Director, Qasim Basir , whose feature film, To Live and Die and Live will also make its world premiere on Friday.
I will join Professor & Author, Dr Evelyn Alsultany , and Documentary Filmmaker & Sundance Producing Film Fellow, Razi Jafri , in a discussion about Dr Alsultany's latest book, Broken: The Failed Promise of Muslim Inclusion .
