On Saturday, September 30th, more than 130 Islamic school educators, administrators, and support staff from over 24 schools and organizations attended the Shura Council’s 2nd Annual Educators Forum aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. They were welcomed by Shura Council Board Chair, Dr Ahmed Soboh.
The theme for this event was social and emotional wellness. The speakers included Dr Omar Ezzeldine, Dr Kareema Nasouf, and Sh Suhail Mulla. Each speaker gave a presentation on the theme from their unique perspective. Attendees enjoyed breakfast and lunch, played games, and learned from fellow educators during a gallery presentation.

Open Mosque Day 2023
Open Mosque Day 2023 is the weekend of October 21 and 22, says a Shura Council message. It adds: This is a great time to visit your Muslim neighbors. We now have a list of open Mosques available on our website which is updated regularly.
This is the 21st Annual Open Mosque Day started in 2002 in response to the Islamophobia following 9/11. Mosques open their doors to show their communities the beauty of Islam, share ethnic cuisine, give Mosque tours, and educate attendees about Muslims and Islam. – Shura Council |
