Tribute to Naim Shah Sr
On Sunday, June 28th, Shura Chair, Dr Ahmed Soboh paid tribute to Al-Hajj Naim Shah Sr. In attendance were a coalition of community-based organizations,hundreds of faith leaders, elected officials, and community members. They came together to honor Al-Hajj Naim Shah Sr for his services to Islam and the community during the last sixty years.
His founding organization Dawah 2000 has touched thousands of lives as he has worked in gang intervention, prison outreach, feeding and clothing those struggling with homelessness, and mentoring thousands of youth throughout Southern California and across the United States. He received honors and awards from The City of Compton, Umma Clinic, and many other organizations as hundreds of community members gave him a standing ovation. |
