September 18th, 2026: National Muslim Voter Registration Day (NMVRD)
The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California is proud to partner with MPOWER Change to maximize the impact of this vital voter engagement campaign, says an email message. It adds: We encourage all of our affiliated organizations, community leaders, and members to actively participate in this collective effort to strengthen the voice of our community.
Every day, our communities feel the weight of political decisions. The decisions being made in halls of power affect our families, our masjids, and our future. We must make sure our people are registered and ready to vote.
That's what NMVRD is about. On September 18th, Muslims across the country will set up voter registration tables at masjids, community centers, and local events — showing up for our communities the way we always have.
Together, let us set an ambitious goal of registering 10,000 new voters this year, Insha'Allah. Every new voter represents a stronger, more engaged community and a greater opportunity to shape the future through civic participation.
