Conference on Companions of the Prophet on October 24
A Shura Council announcement states: The Islamic Shura Council of Southern California is pleased to recognize and support the Institute of Knowledge (IOK), an active Shura Council member, for organizing ILMCON26 : Companions of the Prophet ﷺ. This special conference will explore the lives of the noble Companions of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (may Allah be pleased with them), highlighting their faith, character, sacrifices, leadership, and service to Islam and humanity. It will provide an opportunity to reflect on their remarkable examples and learn how to apply their values and teachings to our daily lives.
The Shura Council encourages community members to attend this valuable educational gathering, deepen their understanding of Islamic history and teachings, and build meaningful connections with fellow Muslims. The conference will begin with welcome remarks from our esteemed Board Chair, Dr Deana Helmy.
