SC still remembers its attackers: Mirza
ISLAMABAD: Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza said on Friday that memories of people attacking the Supreme Court (SC) were still fresh. Talking to media men at the conclusion of the hearing on contempt issue, he said that PPP always respected the superior judiciary. Regarding a past verdict against Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB), he said that justice (r) Naseem Hassan Shah had himself admitted that Bhutto was innocent. Regarding Friday’s proceedings, he lauded the SC and remarked: “For the first time, we feel that it is also our court.” The Chief Justice (CJ) has acknowledged that democracy thrived due to the sacrifices of PPP. “We thank the CJ and expect justice from his court,” he said. app
