Security forces kill 12 militants in tribal areas
PESHAWAR: At least twelve militants were killed during a search operation and raid conducted by security forces in Dara Adam Khel and Khyber Agency, Geo News reported Sunday.According to sources, security forces were carrying out a search operation in Torr Chapar area of Darra Adam Khel when militants suddenly attacked the troops killing one and injuring another. The security men retaliated targeted militants’ positions using heavy artillery and killed five militants.
Meanwhile, security forces using gun-ships destroyed a number of militants’ hideouts in Tirah Valley, Khyber Agency on Saturday. Seven militants were killed in the action including a close relative of Mangal Bagh, Amir of the banned Lashka-e-Islam.
