Sharmila hails move to reopen ZAB case
KARACHI: The Secretary Information Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Women Wing Sindh, Sharmila Faruqui has said that signing of a reference by President Asif Ali Zardari for reopening Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) case is a milestone in the history. In a statement here on Saturday, she said that President’s step would promote justice in the country and would discourage those decisions that were committed on the basis of ‘pressure, favour, or bias’. Sharmila said that sending the reference in accordance with article 186 of the Constitution, President Asif Ali Zardari had proved himself a real heir of late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and this act would also sooth the soul of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. She said that no one except President had taken such a bold step in the history of Pakistan and his step had given courage and strength to democratic forces, adding it would strengthen democracy in the country. app
