JWG to be set up to liberalise visa regime with Pak: India
ISLAMABAD: Indian Home Minister, P Chidambaram said it was a positive idea to further liberalise the visa regime with Pakistan and a joint working group was being set up for the purpose.
According to an All India Radio report, Chidambaram said modalities and procedures would have to be worked out for setting up a joint commission to visit Pakistan. Replying to a question on cash-for-vote scandal, the home minister said that investigations are on and Delhi Police is calling more people for questioning.
Describing the recently held home secretary-level talks as a positive development, he said it is one of the many steps to be taken towards resolution of disputes between the two countries. app
