Altaf and Qaim slam blast in Lower Dir
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the bomb blast in Lower Dir in which several people lost their lives and many others sustained injuries. Altaf expressed his heartfelt condolences and said that the terrorists wanted to create utter lawlessness and chaos in the country by these blasts.
He said that the terrorists have the wicked plans to harm the national security and added that the brutal and merciless terrorists who are shedding the blood of innocent people are the enemy of the country and humanity. Altaf hoped that the Goliath of terrorism would be defeated by the united efforts of the people, armed forces, paramilitary forces and police.
He expressed his profound sympathies to the family members of the people who lost their lives in the blast and prayed Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace. He stressed upon President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to take all-out steps for the elimination of the menace of terrorism from the country. He said the government must take adequate measures to protect the life and property of the people.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has condemned the bomb blast in the Munda area of Lower Dir on Monday. In a statement issued, he expressed sorrow and grief at the casualties in the incident. Sindh chief minister also sympathised with the members of the bereaved families. staff report/app
