ZAB’s death anniversary observed in US
DALLAS: The 32nd death anniversary of PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto observed on Monday with a renewed pledge to make Pakistan a modern, progressive and democratic welfare state in line with his vision.
In Dallas, the Pakistan People’s Party North Texas Chapter had arranged special meeting in connection of the day at Qurni Restaurant, Irving, where the speakers threw light on different aspects of life of the architect of modern Pakistan.
The meeting started with the recitation of Holy Quran. A number of PPP workers, leaders attended the ceremony and recited Holy Quran and prayed for ZAB Shaheed. They paid tribute to ZAB Shaheed for his services for laborers and poor segments of society.
The speakers President of PPP, North Texas, Raja Zahid Khanzada, Syed Fayyaz Hussain, Ak Khan, Aftab Siddique, Raja Muzaffer Kashmiri, Syed Younis Aizaz, while addressing on the occasion said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto did not compromise on principles and preferred the death, instead of making deals with the dictator.
They paid rich tributes to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and said that ZAB sacrificed his life for the promotion of real democracy in the country.
They said that Benazir Bhutto also followed the path of her father and knowing all the dangers to her life came to Pakistan and sacrificed her life for democracy in the country.
The meeting was presided over by President of PPP, North Texas, Raja Zahid Khanzada,
President PPP, North Texas, Raja Zahid Khanzada, Senior Vice President, Syed Fayyaz Hussain and scores of other party activists including PPP General Secretary of North Texas, A K Khan, Kashmiri Leader, Muzzafar Kashmiri, renowned Poets, Younus Aijaz and Noor Amarohi participated in the ceremony.
