Statement of Taseer’s cousin recorded
RAWALPINDI: An anti terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday recorded the statement of Suleman Ghani, cousin of the slain Punjab governor Salmaan Taseer, who received his dead body after postmortem at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). Statement of Ghani, the cousin of Taseer, who was shot dead by one of his security guards outside a restaurant in Islamabad, was recorded by ATC Judge Raja Akhlaq Hussain under section 164 during the trial of Taseer’s murder case at the Adiala Jail. However, the statements of Islamabad Magistrate Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Shehryar Taseer, son of the slain governor, could not be recorded. Later, the judge adjourned the hearing of the case until April 23. staff report
