SC adjourns 18th amend case hearing till May 18


ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan today adjourned hearing of the case of 18th amendment till third week of May, Geo News reported.

According to SC’s notification, the decision was taken due to the hearings of NRO review case and ZA Bhutto’s reference case.

Next hearing would depend on availability of apex court’s judges, the notification stated.

It is pertinent to mention here that the hearing of 18th amendment case was due to be held on April 18 in front of a larger bench of SC, which would have been comprised of 17 judges.

A three-member bench of SC, headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry, would hear case of ZA Bhutto reference on April 18.
